Unlike semiconductor-based sensors and other optical sensors in the market, the M2-Hamster™ sensor is made with a hard quartz-like material that resists scratches, shock, corrosion and other stress. The M2-Hamster optical fingerprint reader was designed for 1:1 verification or 1:N identification environments where capture speed is not a critical factor.  For implementations that do require nearly instantaneous image capture and fingerprint identification

Finger vein authentication techology has several important features that set it apart from other forms of biometrics as a highly secure and convenient means of personal authentication:
